Relocating to Fox River Valley, Wisconsin

This Outdoorsman Loves Teaching
Life’s Lessons on the River

“Having grown up in the Fox River Valley, it’s a thrill for me to raise my own sons here and pass along to them our family’s love of the area and appreciation for nature.”

After Scott Nieuwenhuis helps his two sons cast their lines into the tranquil waters surrounding their boat, he waits and watches the look of intense concentration on their young faces. Scott knows it will just be a matter of time before they reel in the first fish of the day. After a leisurely afternoon on the lake, the three will hurry back to the cabin to show off their big catch. For Scott, it’s the perfect way to spend the day.

When Scott is serving your real estate needs, his positive outlook, lifetime of knowledge of the area and dedication to your needs make your move a great one.

The Tradition Continues Today
Being with his wife and their sons at the family’s cabin outside the Fox River Valley not only gives Scott a chance to unwind in his favorite setting—the outdoors—but also gives him an opportunity to pass along some important traditions he learned as a young man. Fishing, hunting, woodworking—these are a few of the lessons he learned growing up. Beyond the basics, though, Scott looks back on those days as a time when he learned important lessons about hard work, self-reliance and a deep reverence for nature. They were traditional lessons passed from one generation to the next—and ones that are alive and well in the way Scott approaches his life every day.

For the Future
In addition to sharing his love of the outdoors with his family, Scott has started a tradition of his own. Not only did he build his family’s home in Appleton, but he made most of the furniture in it. A self-professed “do-it- yourself” kind of guy, Scott uses his talent for building as a way to create quality, handcrafted pieces that will stay in the family for generations to come. “It’s a way for me to leave a lasting, personal mark for my kids to pass on to their kids,” he says.

A Fox River Valley Tradition
In his career, Scott has built another unique tradition that is truly making an impact on the Fox River Valley. As one of the area’s most experienced real estate professionals, Scott looks to the past as well as the future to help home buyers and sellers achieve their goals. Blending the traditional values he learned as a young man—hard work, integrity, perseverance—with a focus on his clients’ financial future and the use of the latest technology, Scott is the name to know for quality service and results.

Spending time with his wife, Patti, and their two sons, Greg and Jacob, in the peaceful beauty of nature is one of Scott’s favorite ways to relax.
