Located along the banks of the Fox River and the shores of Lake Winnebago in east central Wisconsin lies a cluster of dynamic communities known collectively as "The Fox Cities." With a population of more than 200,000, the Fox Cities area is one of the largest and fastest growing urban centers in Wisconsin. The Fox Cities area is comprised of 18 municipalities; the largest of which is the City of Appleton. The population of the three- county Appleton- Oshkosh-Neenah Metropolitan Statistical Area ( MSA) is nearly 349,000.

The Fox Cities offers a wealth of indoor and outdoor recreational opportunities, historic sites, competitive and recreational athletic venues, retail complexes, movie theatres and access to waterways and parks.

More than 30 municipal , county and state parks as well as marinas and boat launches provide gateways to greenspace and blue waters. Baseball, car racing and soccer games of all levels of competitiveness can be found in the Fox Cities.

Museums, galleries, theatres and other performing arts venues thrive here. Home to a collection of the memorabilia of Harry Houdini, the Fox Cities conjurs up a number of attractions of historical significance.
